In der ZONA setzt bei Abenddämmerung die psychische Schwerkraft aus. Bilder, tagsüber tief im Unterbewusstsein schlummernd, wachen auf, kriechen zum Vorschein. Teilnehmer werden durch eine geistige Kartographie geführt, aus Schatten geformt. Die Performance hat die länge eines Augenzwinkerns. 

Pablo Pijnappel:
Psychoanalyse und Literatur sind seine Anfangspunkte: Pablo Pijnappels Arbeiten sind meta-narrative die poetisch kulturelle, historische und genealogische Identitäten durch das Prisma der Erinnerung verbinden. Sprache spielt immer die führende Rolle in der Zusammenführung mentaler Prozesse und der Realität- in Videoinstallationen, Texten und Perfomances an der Kreuzung, and der sich Kino, Fotographie und Prosafragmente treffen.

Pablo Pijnappel wurde in Paris geboren, wuchs aber in Rio De Janeiro auf und studierte in den Niederlanden. Jetzt lebt und arbeitet er zwischen Rio, Rotterdam und Berlin. Er hat an zahlreichen Gruppen- und Soloausstellungen teilgenommen und wurde unter anderem im Centre Pompidou, der Whitechapel Gallery, der Konsthall Malmö, Artists Space, LACE ausgestellt. Er war auch Teil der Sao Paolo XXX Biennale.

Die Performance ist für bis zu 10 Teilnehmern konzipiert.

In a place called The Zone the psychic gravitational field is suspended at nightfall, making images which normally lay in the depths of the mind come up to the surface. The guests will be guided through the maze of a mental cartography that materializes from the shadows. The performance lasts for a blink of an eye.

Pablo Pijnappel:
With psychoanalysis and literature as his usual starting points, Pablo Pijnappel’s works are meta-narratives that poetically combine cultural, historical and ancestral identities through the prism of memory. Language always plays a leading role in uniting mental mechanisms and the world, in video installations, texts, or performances that lie at the crossroads between cinema, photography, and fragments of prose. 

Pablo Pijnappel was born in Paris, but grew up in Rio de Janeiro and later studied in the Netherlands. Now he lives and works between Rio, Rotterdam and Berlin. He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in various venues in major capitals of Europe and the USA, including the Center Pompidou, Whitechapel Gallery, Konsthall Malmö, Artists Space, LACE, among others. He was also part of the XXX São Paulo Biennial.

A maximum of 10 people can participate in the performance.
