In der Soloperformance „De Eurocommissaris“ verarbeitet die niederländische Schauspielerin Joan Nederlof ihre eigene Unkenntnis über Europa. In klugen Monologen entwickelt Nederlof mithilfe der fiktiven niederländischen EU-Kommissarin Charlotte Hajenius ein neues Konzept für die Zukunft Europas. Kann ein demokratisches, vereintes Europa überhaupt gelingen, wenn die Mitgliedsstaaten ihre nationalen Interessen stets an erste Stelle stellen? Ein Must-See für alle, die sich um die Zukunft Europas sorgen. Das Stück wird im Rahmen des F(EU)TURE FESTIVAL des European Democracy Lab gezeigt.

In the solo performance De Eurocommissaris, the Dutch actress Joan Nederlof deals with her own ignorance of Europe. In clever monologues, Nederlof develops a new concept for the future of Europe with the help of the fictitious Dutch EU Commissioner Charlotte Hajenius. Can a democratic, united Europe succeed at all if the member states always put their national interests first? A must see for all who care about the future of Europe. The play is shown in the framework of the F(EU)TURE FESTIVAL organised by the European Democracy Lab.
