Peca Stefan. #TheNewOldHome

GERMAN PREMIERE / INSTALLATION (EN)

IM CLB BERLIN im Aufbau Haus, Prinzenstr. 84.2

A meditation on ageing and ageing democracies, this new hybrid work by acclaimed Romanian author Peca Stefan (Heidelberg Stückemarkt Innovationspreis ’07, Berliner Stückemarkt ’10, ’13) combines different narrative forms (puzzle quest, sound and visual installation, novel, interactive social game, audio drama) as it invites visitors to explore the fascinating life of a 78-year-old woman – Mrs. D – who has recently moved from her village to a small Romanian town and starts seeing parallel versions of herself living in Berlin, Barcelona and the dystopian future of 2057. As we follow Mrs. D and her millennial granddaughter Gina through their magical journey we are also invited to consider our own choices for the future, older version of ourselves.
